Gift-Giving From Women to Men: The Harley Davidson Watch

Are you trying to spice up your gift-giving a little bit? Tired of giving cologne and magazine subscriptions to the man in your life? Have you given him his own can of peanuts to fill out his Christmas gift every year for the last five? Does he like motorcycles? If he likes Harley Davidson, a Harley Davidson watch could be a great gift. Especially if you add a personal touch.

For the man who’s always late, a watch with a huge face, large numbers and light up hands is in order. Tell him you thought it might prompt him to look at his watch a little more often so he could see the Harley logo and that he would then remember that he was supposed to pick you up an hour ago.

For the man who’s always early and arrives before you’re ready, the same watch could work with a note that you thought maybe he would become mesmerized by the Harley Davidson logo and that would delay him, so that he would arrive on time, not when you’ve just applied wax to your legs and tossed your undies in the dryer.

For the true BS artist, and we all know who they are, a pocket version of a Harley Davidson watch is perfect. People who like to talk and tell stories are almost invariably very good at it. They know how to use pauses for effect and they know how to use props. Enclose a note with the gift telling him that now he has something new to talk about and can spend 20 minutes introducing it with a long story about his first bicycle that leads all the way up to the most recent gift that the most wonderful woman in his life has given him. Then he can pull it out with a flourish.

Of course, if you really want to make this gift-giving occasion special, you could always just buy him a Harley.

The Rolex DateJust – Worlds Most Famous Watch?

The Rolex Date Just is the most famous watch in the entire Rolex range. The name ‘Date Just’ comes from the fact that the Rolex Date Just was the first Rolex watch to automatically display the date and to automatically change the date without having to be manually changed. The date numbers move to the next day at precisely 12am on the dot. It was also the first watch to have the date feature verified by an official chronometer.

The look of the Rolex Date Just has been a hit with consumers since it was released in 1945, and as such pre owned vintage Rolex DateJust watches are very popular with collectors. The style can only be described as classic and the watch can be worn with anything and everything and gives an outfit an extra touch of class. The watch is gold and silver and comes in two versions, one for a man and one for a woman. The Rolex Date Just is a timeless watch and the design has lastest many years. Something to note about the Rolex Date Just is that it isn’t just a ‘style’ watch. The Rolex Date Just is also very robust and can be worn for most sports. Not all sports though, for more extreme  sports such as rock climbing or diving.

Rolex Date Just Specifications

The Rolex Date Just doesn’t specify a particular watch but a range of watches. One of the most popular of the range is the Lady DateJust:

Lady Date Just Specifications:

·         COSC certified chronometer.

·         26mm watch face

·         Steel casing

·         Domed bezel

·         Sapphire crystal used in the watch face

·         Silver dial

·         Water resistant to 100 meters/ 330 feet

·         Self winding movement

·         Jubilee style watch strap

Rolex Date Just watches are very expensive with the Lady Date Just being sold at over £3000. It really is a watch for people with a lot of money to spend! There are twenty two watches in the Date Just range and they are all in the £3000 – £4000 price range.  An interesting point to note about the Date Just range is that they are all made of differing materials so even though they come from the same range, they are made of different materials. Watch straps in the Date Just range are made of lots of different materials, from steel to gold to platinum and even leather. The Rolex Date Just watches are water resistant to an extent but not for extreme sports. They repel water for example, it would be fine to wear a Rolex Date Just in the shower or in heavy rain.
